Lise Meitner was an Austrian physicist who worked on radioactivity and nuclear physics with Otto Hahn. She was part of the team that discovered nuclear fission and element 109 was later named meitnerium in her honor. Meitner obtained her doctoral degree in physics and made several discoveries regarding isotopes, beta radiation, and the Auger effect over her career.

Marie curie – discoverer of radioactive elementsrita martin
Marie Curie chemist, Nobel laureate discovered polonium and radium radio active elements. She coined the term radioactivity. Curium periodic table element was named in honor of both Marie and Pierre Curie
J. C. Bose in scientific and national contextsRajeshKochhar4
J C Bose was the first tangible proof that members of a slave country could be the equals of their European masters. Bose and P C Ray were India’s (and non-Western world’s) first mainstream modern scientists. Both burst on the world scene in 1895.
This presentation describes a brief biography and research background of the great scientist Marie Curie, which helped her to earn Nobel Prize for twice in two different fields.
