What‘s EuroVeg? Vegucation!

• Granted by the EACEA, LLP
• Target group: gastronomical staff
and staff-to-be (chefs, caterers,
students), as well as teachers in the
initial and continuing vocational
education and training (VET)
Why Vegucation?
• Situation in Germany
– 7 Mio. vegetarians, 800.000 vegans
– 880 hrs curriculum for chefs, only 60 hrs for plant
based products = 7 % !
– 51% of the german population prefer meat-
reduced, plant based and natural diet
– Necessity to fill the gap between labour market
needs and vocational skills
– development of new competences for the
innovative Europe-wide job of the “vegetarian cook”
