I was the Office Manager, then Business Manager, for King Clinic for eleven years. In that time,
my responsibilities have continually increased.
I ultimately handled all aspects of:
• accounts receivables,
• insurance claims (i.e. filing, managing, receivables for private insurance, self-funded /
self-insured plans, and Medicare, as well as personal injury, workman’s compensation,
et.al.),
• patient handling (scheduling, patient inquiries, insurance issues, billing, etc) and,
• maintaining all patient, financial , and insurance records.
I was also in charge of collecting and reporting all data, as well as participating in decisions
effecting, the management of the business (re: budgeting, quarterly projections, marketing,
market-trend analysis, and reimbursement analysis.)
I initially managed a staff of five employees under the doctor. I was able to create such efficiency
in our processes that, over time, I took over the functions of the front desk, the insurance billing
position, and the doctor’s assistant.
I demonstrate professionalism; I am highly organized; and my work demanded effective and
efficient multi-tasking skills.
I regularly used Microsoft Office software, as well as medical billing software. I also have
experience using Access Database. I have a minor in Management Information Systems and, can
quickly learn new software.
