LinkAge is an organization that coordinates support services for older people in local communities. It brings together different service providers to map out and connect local resources. This comprehensive approach helps older individuals access support and prevents isolation. LinkAge has expanded over time and now employs staff located across multiple community centers. It addresses issues like health, social activities, and access to services for older adults.

One of the key recommendations in the Centre for Social Justice’s Age of Opportunity report was that every local
authority should have a coordinated, systematic approach to supporting older people in the community, by
bringing together service providers of all kinds to map and establish networks of local provision.
After visiting LinkAge we have concluded that this is an excellent example of such an approach from which many
