1. In the scenes that i watched on “Life on Mars”, there are several camera focus’s being used. They are framing and shallow focus. The framing was first used to set the scene. The scene was 2 police men talking and scruffy building around them. The shallow focus was being used when “Sam” was on the phone in the office. The other characters were in the background but had been blurred out so you could just see Sam’s face properly. This is to show that Sam is the main character in the scene and also it shows what the characters were doing at the time. The framing was then used again and it is set in a church. There is a dead body laid on a bed. This makes the audience uncomfortable. There is also another framing further on in the scene in Sam’s house. The house looks old and Sam looks modern which emphasises that they have gone back in time.
