Steps to create an RPM package in LinuxManish Chopra
This exercise was done on RHEL 6 and same steps are applicable for other variants too. This tutorial provides you with steps to create your own RPM packages in Linux. Following procedure shows creating a basic RPM package that includes a shell script. After the RPM is installed, the script is executed on the command prompt to display the output.
What were the big trends at MWC17? What are the things you need to be aware of to stay successful?
Here’s a quick summary on the big trends and insights from Mobile World Congress 2017 based on hundreds of interviews, tours, presentations and announcements.
G. Tautkeviciene and I. Ceseviciute. Open Science in Horizon 2020: Open Aire ...Aidis Stukas
Access to scientific information accelerates research, discovery and economic development. For more than a decade libraries take part in the open access movement to develop an environment which provides access to scientific information. Open access stakeholders and experts are working together to achieve these aims. The presentation will elaborate on the infrastructure of open access which bridges the gap between academia and society by sharing research findings in new ways.
OpenAIRE is an initiative by the European Commission for an Open Access Infrastructure for Research in Europe to support open scholarly communication, Open Science and access to the research output of the European funded projects. The infrastructure of OpenAIRE supports the Open Science policy implemented in the programme Horizon2020 by the European Commission.
Vaidas Morkevičius - Open Data for Enhancing the Quality of ResearchAidis Stukas
The European Social Survey (ESS) is an academically driven cross-national survey that has been conducted across Europe since 2001. The presentation will focus on three pillars of quality enhancement in social research: good data, good documentation and good analytics.

3O - is the new popular abbreviation in the European Research Area. Pushed forward by Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation it stands for "Open Science, Open Innovation, Open to the World". What is the ideology behind this? Maybe it is just a nicely coined catchy expression? What is the role of Open Science for our future? How far have we gone towards this vision?

INDUSTRINĖS DOKTORANTŪROS
STUDENTAS
Industrinės doktorantūros studentas – studentas, kuris dirba tam
tikroje kompanijoje ar organizacijoje ir studijuoja universitete
doktorantūros studijose. Studentas paprastai gauna atlyginimą jį
įdarbinusioje kompanijoje.
Kitas variantas – universitetas pagal sutartį su doktorantą įdarbinusia
organizacija moka doktorantui atlyginimą arba jo dalį. Tuomet
doktorantas kompanijoje dirba tam tikra etato dalimi. Kai kuriose
šalyse priimančios doktorantą kompanijos gali gauti subsidijas iš tam
tikrų fondų.
Industrinis doktorantas turi paskirtą vadovą universitete ir konsultantą
jį įdarbinusioje kompanijoje.
Toks modelis taikomas Danijoje, Švedijoje, Norvegijoje, JAV. Danijoje

Remiantis
statistikos duomenimis, Danijoje industrinės doktorantūros studentai
50 proc. laiko skiria kompanijai, kurioje dirba, ir 50 proc. –
universitetui; uždirba 7-10 proc. daugiau nei kiti doktorantai.
Pagal šį modelį 2011 m. startavo EK EID (European Industrial Doctorate)
programa - Marie Sklodowska-Curie Innovative Training Networks (ITN).
http://www.universityworldnews.com/article.php?story=20110318125749302
European Industrial Doctorates (EID) EIDs have the objective of training highly-skilled researchers and
stimulating entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation in Europe. This is to be achieved in particular by
involving the non-academic sector in doctoral training so that skills better match public and private sector
needs. Each EID is composed of at least two beneficiaries established in two different Member States
or Associated Countries. At least one beneficiary must be entitled to award doctoral degrees (*) and
at least one beneficiary must come from the non-academic sector, primarily enterprise. Each
participating researcher must be enrolled in a doctoral programme and spend at least 50% of their time in
the non-academic sector. The joint supervision of fellows by supervisors from each sector is
mandatory. A wider set of partner organisations may also complement the training.
28. 28
• Doktorantų skaičius (vienam tūkstančiui gyventojų) Lietuvoje,
lyginat su kitomis pasaulio šalimis yra mažas ir turėtų būti padidintas
bet 50% (iki ES vidurkio);
• Doktorantų stipendijos turi būti didinamos, ypač tose mokslo
kryptyse, kur susidomėjimas doktorantūra žemas (fiziniai,
technologijos mokslai);
• Skatinti doktorantūros ryšį su verslu ir pramone, kuriant bendrus
doktorantų finansavimo fondus, skatinat verslo ir pramonės įmones
įdarbinti mokslų daktarus, naudojant sumanios specializacijos
finansinius instrumentus, sukuriant industrinę doktorantūrą;
• Įpareigoti Lietuvoje vykdomų mokslinių tyrimų projektų (kurių
trukmė didesnė nei trys metai ir suma ne mažesnė kaip 50 000 EUR ),
projekto tematikoje rengti doktorantus. Toks įsipareigojimas duotų
papildomus balus vertinat projektų paraiškas;
•Tobulinti doktorantūrą reguliuojančius dokumentus, kad būtų
sudarytos realios sąlygos rengti ir ginti tarpdisciplinines disertacijas.
