Spotting hazards
& preventing fires
This fire was the result of arson
14 people had to be rescued
     One man went to prison
Nobody died – but they could have!
How could you
 help prevent
     this?
Know the risks
Spot the risks
Report the risks
Rubbish equals fire risk
Just one match is all it takes
It’s not just illegal

It could cost a life
Tell your neighborhood watch
    about dumped rubbish
            • Where is it?
            • What is it?
            • How much is
              there?
Cylinders can cost lives
           Rubbish plus
           cylinders plus
           fire equals…
           …LETHAL
Cylinders can cost lives

           If you see them,
           report them!
Did you see what happened?
            • Time
            • Date
            • Registration
            • Description
Report it – stop it
Abandoned cars…

…make easy targets!
If you can see it, so can the
         arsonists
          • Broken windows
          • No tax
          • Flat tyres
          • Moss
          • It’s been there a long time
If so, tell us
Rough sleeping

Some people live like this
In these conditions…
         …fire is a huge
         and potentially
         lethal threat
This caravan fire…

Could have KILLED
If you suspect it, report it

     Help save a life
As simple as 1-2-3
1. Identify – what is the hazard?
2. Record – make notes there and then
3. Report – tell us straight away
