Dear Sir or Madam:
It is my sincere pleasure to write this letter of recommendation for Mr. John Brough. I have
known Mr. Brough as a student in the Gordon Ford College of Business and as a fitness coach at
D1 Sports Training.
Mr. Brough is a very professional and mature young man. His work ethic, determination, and
self-direction have enabled him to balance his academics, work, and service in the U.S. Army
National Guard. Mr. Brough has acquired a wide range of skills and experiences through his
academic career and his work assignments. In particular, his training, education, and work
experience have prepared him to work with people, to work in a variety of settings, and to
assume a leadership role in the workplace. It is hard to find someone with the credentials and
experiences that Mr. Brough has, and I believe those credentials and experiences have provided
him with the flexibility and adaptability to be an asset to any organization.
Thus, I wholeheartedly recommend Mr. John Brough for a position within your organization. I
am certain that Mr. Brough will fulfill the duties of the position in a way that is in keeping with
your organization’s qualities and culture. If you wish to discuss this recommendation in more
detail, you are welcome to contact me at (270)799-4663 or by email to
evelyn.thrasher@wku.edu.
Sincerely,
Evelyn H. Thrasher, PhD
Associate Professor of Information Systems
