I would love it if you would consider me for the position of human resources
administrative assistant. I am in the process of finishing my two-year diploma at the
Lawrence Kinlin school of Business at Fanshawe College. While I have not had hands-
on experience with an HRIS system, I feel that my education at Fanshawe has more
than adequately prepared me to learn to operate any system fairly quickly. I am well
versed in most of the software in Microsoft Office.
For most of my working life, I have worked in customer service. I have prided myself on
my communication ability, talking to managers, colleagues, and customers. Not only did
I work extensively with customers, I was also responsible for the training of new
colleagues in my department, and two years after I had taken over the training, my
department was voted best customer service nationwide for the entire company.
Unfortunately, I have not had much experience managing people, but I think that your
company could be an excellent learning experience for me.
I find this position to be very attractive due to the potential learning experience, as well
as I have researched your company and found it to hold many of the same morals that I
do. School has never held much sway over me. This is reflected in my slightly lower
G.P.A. This does not mean that I will be a worse employee. I absolutely love learning; it
is actually my true passion. School has just never been about learning in my opinion.
