Dear Sir/Madam,
We are writing to you as A Level Media Studies Students from St Pauls Catholic College in regards to
the permission to use some elements of music and lyrics from the song revengeby 30 seconds to mars.
As part of our A Level Media Studies coursework, we are required to create and produce a Soap
Opera Trailer. We would like to use the song revenge as part of our media work. We are filming a
soap opera trailer which has themes of murder so therefore we feel that the song would fit perfectly
with our trailer. Revenge is suitable for our trailer as certain lyrics such as ‘ wash away my sins’ from
the song fit very well with the dark themes of revenge and murder in our trailer. We will not be using
the entire song in our trailer as the trailer will only be 45 seconds. We will use certain lyrics that
would fit well in our trailer and we will be editing the song to fit with the trailer. We will then post
our trailer on to an educational blog to be moderated by the OCR exam board.
