Q 8. You are the Director HR of ABC Enterprise. Your company is spread over
25 acres, and there is 8 feet high boundary wall around your company. The
main gate, opposite the fire station , is meant for entry and exit for all the
employees. Lately there are some encroachments by some unscrupulous
elements. In fact, there are few kiosks, shops, road side eateries. These
include Tea shops, Country liquor, cycle repairer, a quack selling fake
medicines, two wheeler repairer and so on. They are tapping electricity and
water from feeders which are supplying water and electricity to your
company. You have been asked by your managing Director to write a
detailed letter to the Estate Officer to get these encroachments removed.
Please involve local police, and anybody who you feel would help to get the
needful done. Please write the letter, assume details
as you may deem fit.

Sub: Removal of Encroachment from Nehru Nagar Road facing ABC Enterprise
Dear Mr Singh:
This is to inform you that in the last few days there have been encroachments by
kiosks, shops, road side eateries in Nehru Nagar Area nearing ABC Enterprises.
These include Tea shops, Country liquor, cycle repairer, a quack selling fake
medicines, two wheeler repairers and so on. They are tapping electricity and water
from feeders which are supplying water and electricity to our company.
ABC Enterprise is spread over 25 Acres with 8 Feet high boundary and has its exit
gate opposite fire station. Unduly obstruct of the road by these vendors is causing
problem to our employees exist and entrance as well obstructing urgency
functioning of the fire station on daily basis.
I suggest that you visit our area for a first hand appraisal of the situation and
prevent shops from encroaching public places, using the existing law. It is our
request that one week's notice be served to them to vacate the place.
The check-force meant to remove such unauthorized occupation may also be
involved while I request you to depute some junior officers to make an on-the-spot
enquiry and empower them to take prompt action against law breakers/squatters.
I have full faith in your officials’ sincerity and competence and hope that necessary
will be taken by them at the earliest.
