David Bou, a graphic illustrator from Lithuania, created high quality work for a comic book project of Kenneth Budd's publishing company. While Bou had to withdraw from the project due to other commitments, Budd wrote this letter of reference praising Bou's exceptional work ethic, sincerity, generosity, and command of English. Budd strongly recommends Bou for any work and believes he would make an excellent candidate for immigration to Canada due to his talent and attitude.

As owner/operator of a boutique publishing company, SummerWild Productions Ltd., I
often receive requests from writers, editors, illustrators and print salespeople who are
seeking contract work. Because of the worldwide access available to us, many of these
seekers are from different places around the world.
One such foray into the North American publishing market that came my way was from
David Bou, of Vilnius, Lithuania. Because of the impressive resumé that accompanied
his solicitation, I arranged with him to create material for a prospective comic book
project (today more likely known as a graphic novel) that I am considering to accompany
my series, The Adventures of Buddy Williams, a pre-teen set of four novels and their
study guides [see www.summerwild.ca].
While David has bowed out of the project because of the heavy load of other
responsibilities which are much more in keeping with his particular graphic illustration
skill set, I volunteered to write him this letter of reference. His sterling effort on my
behalf demanded this of me.
Not only were the pieces that he created of the highest quality and completely in keeping
with the expectations that he and I agreed upon, there were other attributes of his that are
worthy of equally great praise. His exceptional work ethic is second-to-none. And unlike
many of his peers on this side of the Atlantic, he possesses a sincerity of purpose, along
with a generosity of spirit that is truly refreshing. His command of both written and
spoken English is more than adequate. I cannot speak more highly of him.
Undoubtedly, the material he produced for me will be included within his dossier for
others to peruse (www.davidbou.com). It is his talent, though, and his wonderful attitude
that I wish to bring to your attention. I have no qualms in recommending him for any
work that he and a prospective employer might agree upon. Indeed, if a company were
looking for someone from afar to immigrate to Canada, David Bou should be at the top of
