This letter shall serve as an employment reference for Ms. Deborah Hansen. By way of
background, I had the opportunity of working closely with Ms. Hansen over an
extended period of time on recent projects in the City of San Bernardino.
For your information, over the last three years Urban Futures, Inc. (“UFI”) has served
as the lead consultant with respect to matters affecting the City of San Bernardino’s
bankruptcy filing, the dissolution of the City’s former redevelopment agency and other
municipal management matters. In that regard, UFI has worked with a variety of City
departments, including the City’s Department of Parks and Recreation. In that regard,
Ms. Hansen was UFI’s key liaison for matters related to the City’s Department of Parks
and Recreation.
During Ms. Hansen’s employment with the City, I had multiple opportunities work with
her on several high priority complicated program management and budgetary issues.
These issues generally included the preparation of original documentation by Ms.
Hansen. Based on my first-hand observation of Ms. Hansen’s work, I am able to attest
that she is a task-dedicated, time-sensitive and goal-oriented person. She has solid
analytical and administrative skills that significantly contributed to the accomplishment
of each component task given her, all of which contributed to the completion of each
assignment. Frankly, UFI could not have completed its tasks with respect to the City’s
Department of Parks and Recreation without Ms. Hansen’s assistance.
