Envisioning success with the painted picturelproia
The painted picture is a method to envision your future. By creating your perfect world through words, you begin to form the reality in your thoughts. Every step in creating my new business is designed to help me build towards this perfect world.

This is my painted picture for Meme & Co for the year 2018. It is a manifesto for my business and brand, 3 years from today. By releasing it publicly, I am holding myself accountable in order to make it my reality.
I have over 18 years experience in sales, marketing and advertising, I climbed the corporate ladder and was committed to my career but my priorities changed when I had my children. My life became a struggle, trying to find a balance between wanting to retain my worth and independence in the workforce without compromising my ability to be a present and attentive mother. I found myself working in an intimidating and ultimately soul-destroying environment. It stripped me of my self esteem and my confidence; it was the strength of my children and the support of my husband that gave me the resolve to be resilient, to stand up for myself and stand up for my values. With a strong resolve never to go back to the corporate world as I had known and through commitment, perseverance and a passion to succeed, I found as one door closed behind me other doors opened in front of me.
It was this journey that gave me the motivation and the drive to create an opportunity for other women who want to be in control, who value their independence, who want to be empowered. My drive to keep a balance between work and my family life ultimately resulted in `taking a leap’ into the unknown and embarking on a personal journey of self reflection, new challenges and personal growth.
The name Meme & Co came from the name my son William use to call his sister Aimee when he couldn't pronounce it properly `Meme'. The Co represents William, my other daughter Jessica and my husband Tim. On a business level the Co represents all the partnerships connected to the company that Meme & Co has been built on.
Be Confident, Be Passionate, Be Empowered

Sales is the lifeblood of every company. However, it is still very heavily male-dominated. The Women in Sales Awards has been created to bring a greater awareness of the need for gender diversity in sales and in executive leadership teams, as well as help grow the pipeline of sales talent. The awards are an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of women in sales roles.

To Whom It May Concern,
I am pleased to write this recommendation on behalf of Tania Hassel. Tania began working for Sweaty Betty in November
2014. She started as a full time assistant manager of the Chiswick boutique, subsequently being promoted to manager in
June 2015 after becoming a pivotal and vital member of the managing team.
The manager role requires, but not limited to, the following: driving forward sales and achieving company objectives whilst
providing the highest standards of customer experience, leading and managing the boutique team, including recruitment,
development, coaching and well-being, representing the brand through sport and local marketing work, and maintaining all
logistics related to operating a standalone boutique.
She has represented the brand through her passion in fitness and health, and in particular yoga, her personal favourite.
She has great relationships with all of our top customers, local instructors in the fitness industry, as well as two appointed
ambassadors for the brand. Her approachable quality and friendliness is very much visible on the shop floor on a daily basis,
and her ability to connect with people are unparalleled. She certainly has intuition in reading and relating to customers, a
quality even bettered by her knowledge in fitness, local studios, and the ability to speak multiple language.
Through fun team training meetings and building amicable relationships she has built a strong team who have bonded over
their love for fashion and fitness.
She has exceptional standards in organising and housekeeping, from stockroom to staff rota planning. Her dedication is
unquestionable, as I know she is always the last person to leave the store. I can rely on Tania to ensure that everything in
store is satisfactory to her and my standards, whether it be paperwork, visual merchandising, or customer relations. Most
recently she had successfully led her team to manage a 10-day refit of the Chiswick boutique.
I am very sad to see Tania go but excited for her new adventure. I highly recommend Tania for her abilities as a manager and
my rapport with her as a colleague. She will be a great asset to your company.
If you need any more information please do contact me.
Kind Regards,
Ginny Yang
