To Whom it May Concern,
I am writing this letter of recommendation on behalf of Ashley McGlasson. My relationship with Ashley began
many years ago when she first started taking dance classes at the studio that I co-own, North County Academy
of Dance. I have taught her personally in my classes for years, and have used her as a teacher assistant and a
substitute teacher for my classes as well.
Ms. McGlasson has demonstrated to me that she is a driven, hard-working and dedicated individual. I have seen
her overcome injury and adversity. I have seen her passion, and the way she uses her gifts and talents as an inspi-
ration for others. She has shown me that she is highly responsible as well, taking care to honor her commitments
and admit any mistakes made along the way.
I sincerely believe that McGlasson is uniquely suited for college life. She has always been goal-driven, and has a
clear vision of who she wants to become. She has always stood out among peers for this quality as well as for her
work-ethic and her willingness to be a team-player. She is an extremely talented dancer, and has risen to the top
of our most advanced class. She has a developed sense of artistry and an ethereal quality that has always been
innate in her, and her love for performing makes her a joy to watch on stage. In addition to this, she received a
scholarship and an invitation to study with the Rock School of Ballet in Philadelphia and was a top 12 finalist
with the Youth American Grand Prix scholarship ballet competition.
