RE: Mikayla Richards

I am pleased to write this letter of recommendation for Mikayla Richards. Mikayla is currently a student of mine in
several Theater Arts courses and theatrical productions at Golden West College.
As an assistant professor of Theater Arts at Golden West College, I have had the opportunity to work with many
students on myriad projects and in varied situations. I observed that Mikayla is serious about her course work. She
approaches her work with deliberate focus and seeks to understand all that might be required of her.
Mikayla Richards is intelligent, reliable, and hardworking and possesses a great sense of humor. She is a creative
problem solver, extremely organized and does not shy away from long hours or intense work situations. She actively
participates in all her courses.
Mikayla demonstrates strong leadership skills since she is a “doer” within the theater arts department and within the
Golden West College community. She works well with other students in all situations. She approaches her acting
and production assignments with enthusiasm and is an energetic example to those around her.
I am thrilled to have Mikayla Richards as a student and even more thrilled to see her move on to complete her
college experience at an actor in the USC School of Dramatic Arts. I am confident Mikayla will continue to develop
as an actor and student, continue to be an asset to herself and her family, and continue to mature and grow as a
woman and as a member of the USC School of Dramatic Arts community. I feel that with continued study in a
quality environment, Mikayla will develop in her field of choice, dramatic arts. I strongly believe she should have
the opportunity to do so at USC. I have no doubt that she would effectively function in her studies.
