3. NVA
Alexandria, VA
Entry Level- Marketing, Customer Service & Management
To whom it Concerns:
I am very interested in the Entry Level- Marketing, Customer Service & Management position with NVA that was posted
on Indeed.com, and I believe that my education and employment background make me an excellent fit for this position.
Since graduating from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania, I have noticed my growing interest in design, marketing
and public relations. Last summer, I interned with Lindsey Mask, CEO of Mask Media Co., a D.C. based PR firm and
founder of Ladies America. My position there required organization and creativity. Some projects I assisted with or
managed were designing promotional items and websites, researching organizations and planning outreach strategies,
implementing social media, and a variety of clerical duties.
While I am not specifically trained in marketing per say I believe that my Communication/Journalism (Print emphasis)
degree and photography background give me a strong advantage that other applicants may not have. What this means
for you is that I am a strong writer with AP style knowledge that can not only write and edit, but also design a page layout
and art to finalize your next promotional piece or website. And is that not what it is all about? Streamlining the process to
be more efficient.
Through every position I have held and experience I have had I always remember the importance of a positive outlook
and the power a smile can hold. I am told that I have a disarming personality that allows me to be very approachable
and create a calming effect. While I am not sure that is entirely true, I do know that I am a people person and I am willing
to help out in any way that I am able. I enjoy solving puzzles and I never miss deadlines.
Mainly, what I am hoping to find is a position were my contributions count and my efforts are appreciated- and hopefully
a long-term commitment.
Hopefully, I will prove to be the perfect fit for your company and we will talk real soon.
Sincerely,
Leslie Arakelian

15. Personal Branding Campaign
Client: Leslie Arakelian (@LeslieArakelian)
I designed these logos as part of my own personal branding campaign. It was my goal to set myself apart by having a
clear and recognizable logo. The logo on the left is used primarily for job search purposes while the logo on the right is
used primarily for my photography business. I felt that by simply adding on to my personal logo I would have a greater
chance of raising the level of my brand all together.

links to my new online portfolio. The back contains my mission statement, contact information and a mini resume.
