This document outlines the requirements for a legacy project involving ceramic tiles. Students will create 4 tiles that feature imagery, text, and colors representing their personal legacy. Each tile must be 6x6 inches with texture, relief sculpting, and glazing. They cannot have cracks, bumps, sharp edges or broken pieces. Students will mount their completed tiles on a plywood board to create a large-scale mural. Students can earn extra credit by creating additional plain tiles to fill any gaps if not all spots are filled.

Year 12 3 d design
Week 1 focuses on design and clay techniques introduction. Students will research natural forms, create sketches merging the forms, and develop 3D abstract design concepts. Techniques like slip and score, moulding, and strengthening clay are introduced.
Week 2 involves basic construction of the sculpture's core form using rough sketches for guidance. Students will slip and score clay correctly and focus on thickness and strength.
Week 3 is for refining surfaces, adding textures, and ensuring smoothness before biscuit firing. Research of ceramic artists is also assigned regarding form, color, and surface decoration.

The student will create a realistic ceramic replica of their favorite dessert, which will serve as a hollow container with a lid. They will research Wayne Thiebaud paintings for inspiration, sketch multiple views of their chosen dessert, and use clay hand-building techniques like pinch, coil and slab to sculpt it. Once fired, they will paint the ceramic dessert with acrylic paints. The finished project must be between 4-6 inches and demonstrate textures, details and colors that accurately capture the chosen dessert.

Super Selfies Challenge 2016

Ask Me Another Rules

Scentsy challenge
This document outlines the requirements for a ceramics project where students must design and create a single-piece ceramic object that meets four criteria:
1. It must have an action plan outlining the project details.
2. A tea light candle placed inside must be able to continuously burn and fully melt a scented wax cube without dripping.
3. An included plaster stamping slab must be used to create a unique and pleasing visual effect.

- 2. What does the word LEGACY mean?
- 5. Purpose: To create a series of ceramic tiles that feature imagery and/or text that somehow also displays a personal meaning about who you are and what you wish to leave as you LEGACY. These tiles will then be organized, SYSTEMATICALLY, to create a large scale mural.
- 6. Requirements 1.An ACTION PLAN with a clear CONCEPT of what EACH TILE WILL LOOK LIKE before construction, including: a.Imagery b.Text c.Color scheme(s)
- 7. Requirements 2. The SERIES (all 4) of tiles will include both elements of texture, and relief sculpting while also being finished with glaze to draw attention to its individual design.
- 8. Requirements 3. The project has been fired twice (BISQUE and GLAZE) and is free from any imperfections, including: Cracks & bumps or uneven finishes sharp edges from cuts broken pieces And can be properly mounted without any part(s) lifting up due to it fitting the proper tile dimensions: 6” x 6” No thicker than a DVD case (relief & sculpture elements included)
- 9. Requirements 4. Each tile will be MOUNTED on the plywood backer board by their respective student.
- 10. Extra credit opportunities Students are encouraged to participate in all elements of this class, however the reality is many choose not to. With that in mind, instead of letting the whole “TEAM” fail upon reaching our goal, any student that wishes to create an extra, PLAIN 6” x 6” to fulfill the spots are missing will receive an extra PERCENTAGE POINT on their end of the year EXAM.
