• the eternal repose of the soul /s of
Sister Rebecca Maglalang, OSB,
___________ and all the poor souls in
purgatory
3. May I invite you to sit properly ......
Feet flat on the floor......
Prepare your bible ......
Begin to quiet yourself ......
Remembering that we are in the holy presence of God ......
In the name of the Father ......
8. Merciful and compassionate
Father,
we confess our sins
and we humbly come to you
to find forgiveness and life.
We come to you in our need
to seek your protection
against the COVID-19 virus
that has disturbed and claimed
many lives.
9. We ask you now to look upon us
with love
and by your healing hand,
dispel the fear of sickness and
death,
restore our hope, and strengthen
our faith.
We pray that you guide the
people
tasked to find cures for this
disease
and to stem its transmission.
10. Bless our efforts
to use the medicines
developed
to end the pandemic in our
country.
11. We pray for our health workers
that they may minister to the
sick
with competence and
compassion.
Grant them health in mind
and body,
strength in their commitment,
protection from the disease.
12. We pray for those afflicted.
May they be restored to health.
Protect those who care for them.
Grant eternal rest to those who have
died.
Give us the grace in these trying times
to work for the good of all
and to help those in need.
May our concern and compassion for
each
other see us through this crisis
and lead us to conversion and holiness.
13. Grant all these through our Lord Jesus
Christ your Son
who lives and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God forever and ever. Amen.
We fly to Your protection, O Holy
Mother of God.
Do not despise our petition in our
necessities,
but deliver us always from all dangers,
O glorious and blessed Virgin. Amen.
14. Glory be…
Our Lady, health of the sick, pray for
us.

17. Steward’s Prayer
(Prayer taken from Pope Francis'
encyclical Laudato Si’)
All-powerful God, you are
present in the whole universe
and in the smallest of your
creatures.
You embrace with your
tenderness all that exists.
18. Pour out upon us the power of your
love,
that we may protect life and beauty.
Fill us with peace, that we may live
as brothers and sisters, harming no
one.
O God of the poor,
help us to rescue the abandoned and
forgotten of this earth, so precious
in your eyes.
19. Bring healing to our lives,
that we may protect the
world and not prey on it,
that we may sow beauty,
not pollution and
destruction.
20. Touch the hearts
of those who look only for gain
at the expense of the poor and the
earth.
Teach us to discover the worth of each
thing,
to be filled with awe and
contemplation,
to recognize that we are profoundly
united with every creature as we
journey towards your infinite light.
21. We thank you for being
with us each day.
Encourage us,
we pray, in our struggle
for justice, love and peace.
Amen.
23. St. Benedict, you were a man of
peace.
You walked the path of peace your
whole life long
and led all who came to you into
the ways of peace.
Help us, St. Benedict, to achieve
peace:
peace in our hearts, peace in our
homes,
peace in our sorely troubled world.
24. Through your powerful
intercession with God help us
to be peace-makers.
Aid us to work for peace,
to take the first step in ending
bitterness,
to be the first to hold out our
hands
in friendship and forgiveness.
25. Beg God to let peace permeate
our lives
so that they may be lived in
grace and love.
At the end of our lives, obtain
for us the
reward of the peacemakers,
the eternal blessed vision of
God in heaven.
Amen.
26. St. Benedict and
St. Scholastica,
…pray for us
Mary with her
loving Son,
bless us each and
everyone
