But why are we still celebrating Easter? Fifty days seems like a long time to be singing Alleluia - and we are only half way through the season. And so, it is at this midway point, that we celebrate Good Shepherd Sunday – a title taken from the today’s famous gospel passage.
So why do we call Christ the Good Shepherd? And how can insight from a New Mexico shepherd help us to use all of our senses in order to uncover the Gospel message and of how we can find Christ today? Check it out.

Scripture & Tradition: The Boundaries of Discipleship (Building a Better Disc...Jonathan Sullivan
Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition – passed on through the biblical authors, the apostles, and their successors – form the deposit of our faith. As the basis for all of the Church’s teaching they also provide the boundary lines for discipleship by illuminating the path that followers of Christ must follow.

Sometimes the dearest connections we make come when lost people find Jesus Christ. In church life there should always be more "room" to make new connections with lost people and new believers. True christianity and how it leads to islammuzaffertahir9
Muslims devoutly believe in Jesus, Moses and all other true prophets. Catholics, Protestants, and Muslims all claim to believe in Jesus. Why, then, are there such differences among his believers? The fact is that his teachings have been misinterpreted and misrepresented. Jesus himself did what a sincere Muslim would have done. He submitted to the will of God. He, further, prophesied the corning of Prophet Muhammad.
This short booklet offers Biblical teachings which disavow some beliefs which are wrongly attributed to Jesus Christ. It tells that there is no contradiction between Islam and true Christianity. True Christianity, in fact, leads to Islam.
The whole purpose of this booklet is to promote better understanding, closer relationship, peace, and harmony between Muslims and Christians.
Jesus said:
"Nevertheless I tell you the truth: it is expedient for you that I go away; for if I go not away, the comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment ... I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.
"Howbeit when he, the spirit of truth is come, he will guide you unto all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come.
"He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall show it unto you". (John 16:7-15)

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

Homily: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Sunday 2024.docxJames Knipper
Countless volumes have been written trying to explain the mystery of three persons in one true God, leaving us to resort to metaphors such as the three-leaf clover to try to comprehend the Divinity. Many of us grew up with the quintessential pyramidal Trinity structure of God at the top and Son and Spirit in opposite corners. But what if we looked at this ‘mystery’ from a different perspective? What if we shifted our language of God as a being towards the concept of God as love? What if we focused more on the relationship within the Trinity versus the persons of the Trinity? What if stopped looking at God as a noun…and instead considered God as a verb? Check it out…
1. LECTIO DIVINE GOSPEL TODAY
Matthew 10: 16-23
At that time, Jesus told his apostles: "I send you out as
sheep among wolves Sean therefore cautious as
serpents and harmless as doves..
Becausethe world will hate ,,,
Beware of people, becausethey take the courts, the
scourge in the synagogues, will be brought before
governors and kings for my sake; and they will bear
witness to me before them and the pagans. But when
prosecuted, do not worry about what to say or how to
say it, becauseat that time inspirethem what they
have to say. Well is not you who speak, but the Spirit
of your Father speaking through you.
Brother will hand over brother to death, and the father
his child; Children will rebel againsttheir parents and
kill them; All will hate you becauseof me, but he who
endures to the end will be saved.
2. When they persecute you in one city, flee to another. I
assure you that will not reach over the cities of Israel
before the Son of man cometh. "
MEDITATION
Before reading this passage, we might ask: Why would
persecute the followers of Jesus? Why do I have to
pursue me? The answer is given by Jesus (in the
Gospel of John): "If they persecuted me, to also
persecute you." This persecutionis due to the
Christianlife, often radically opposed to the selfish
interests of the world.
REFLECTION
the church since its inception had martyrs even today
remains martyrs who give their lives for the faith in
Christ by Christians.
So when a person truly becomes a "disciple" of Jesus
as their criteria and values are regulated by the
Gospel. The same if Christians make manifest his
"disciple" inthe office, living standards of justice, often
3. do not find support in their peers, and even, if it
radically oppose injustice, might even lose his job.
Indeed, the Christianlife is not always easy, but it is
the only life gives man true peace and inner joy that
has no end. Today, more than ever, Jesus needs of men
and faithful to the Gospel that are able to testify before
the other women her love for him. Do not be afraid, he
has given us will be with us and that, at that time, we
will be assistedby the force and power of the Holy
Spirit.
SENTENCE
FATHER AND GIVE GOOD GRACIOUSJOY IN IT,
DESPITE BEING EXCLUDED BY MANY TIMES love and
serve., ONLY THE GOOD FRIENDS ARE WITH US, THE
REST WE REFUSE EVENFAMILY, AND ARE NOT IN

Whoever has God lacks nothing.
