Formal Learning
I am interested in building on my existing knowledge
and skills by undertaking a period of formal learning.
The MSc. Applied eLearning at Dublin Institute of
Technology [DIT].
As part of stage one: I would like to focus on my learning journey over a 14 year time period from when I graduated 2003 with an MA in design from London College of Communications to my current situation in 2017 studying for a second masters in elearning at DIT (Dublin). I have designed my presentation around three locations where significant learning occurred over this time period. The media I have chosen is a ppt presentation as wanted to take opportunity to take an illustrative approach and demonstrate my skills.
I decided to travel to Asia with the aim by opening myself up to new experiences (culture/language/ways of seeing) and that this would inform me both as an individual and as a designer.
In Busan, South Korea I worked as a teacher in Kindergarden.
This is an example of learning through experience.
I used prior knowledge based on personal experience as a student and applied this in the context of being a teacher.
