The Learning Commons at Lake Washington Technical College combines traditional library services, academic support services, and technology services in one location to foster active learning. Between 2007-2008 and 2008-2009, checkouts of books and bibliographies increased significantly. The number of information literacy classes and students attending also increased over this period. The Learning Commons hosts workshops on technology topics and provides support services to faculty and students, including an A/V support department, digital media studio, and computer lab. Student and faculty satisfaction with Learning Commons services was very high, between 87-96% over 2007-2009.

Our Media Services
