Just before the start of the GRC Annual Meeting & Expo, the GRC Annual Charity Golf Tournament will take place October 14 at the Sunridge Golf Club in Carson City, south of Reno. Registration for the tournament is now open.
This year the proceeds from the tournament will go to the GRC Scholarship Fund. Last year the event helped to support six students with funds of $15,000.
At 4,700 feet elevation, the Sunridge Golf course is a pleasure for golfers of any skill level to play. The course will challenge you while providing a relaxing, picturesque backdrop of the Sierra Nevada.

The opportunity to offer a suitable prize to be awarded to the 1st player to record a "hole-in-one" on a selected Par 3 on
the course. The Sponsor will display the prize and appropriate signage on the selected hole and cover the cost of the
insurance premium against a player actually winning the prize. The cost to the sponsor will effectively be the cost of the
insurance premium but will provide the perfect opportunity to display their products.
The Beverage & 19th Hole Sponsor will provide beverage products for the day and set up a drinks station / bar / gazebo
to entertain the golfers as they finish their round of golf. It provides a very visible marketing opportunity and ensures
contact with all the golfers and their guests. The 19th Hole will be accompanied with hostesses to mingle with players.
Michael Scholz, “The 40 year old Rookie, one of South Africa's leading trick shot golfers will entertain the golfers after their
round of golf with his trick shot show “Boom”. He will also conduct the master of ceremonies function and auctioneer. The Sponsor
will ideally cover the costs involved in securing the trick shot golfer and MC and the relative costs which will include; Appearance
Fee, Travel, Accommodation, Food and Beverage, in return for all the platinum sponsor benefits and recognition during the show.
Suited to a still water or energy drinks company and creates an opportunity to provide all the golfers on course
refreshments, chilled using the sponsor's branded drinks coolers. There will be a refreshment station on six (6) of the
eighteen (18) tee boxes.
Open to all levels of sponsors looking to donate products or services as prizes for the golf day.
The format of the golf classic will be a 4 Ball Alliance competition and prizes will be handed out
per 4 Ball. Prizes do not necessarily need to be golf related. Awards / Prize Sponsors will
receive the traditional benefits and additional exposure during the awards ceremony.

Ideally, suited for a Spa or establishment, offering massage treatments. The Massage Therapist Sponsor will offer the
golfers a quick neck and shoulder rub at a strategically placed position in the golf course or at the halfway house. The
sponsor will be provided a good opportunity to market their services and products. In addition, the sponsor will receive
numerous traditional marketing opportunities and acknowledgments.
The event will require the services of a professional photographer and videographer to capture
the day’s events. It will also be an appropriate gesture of appreciation to provide each player with
with a fourball photograph as a memento to take home. The sponsors can be professional
photography, videography or media companies, or companies looking to sponsor the costs
involved in hiring these professionals. LBGF plans to televise coverage of the event, subject to
confirmation from broadcasting media companies. The sponsors will receive very good coverage

7. A unique concept which will provide all participants and guests with entertainment, the “Nite” Long Drive Competition will
be held in the evening using glow-in-the-dark golf balls and glow sticks. The sponsor will cover the costs of the nite golf
balls, glow sticks, fore caddy and prizes for the competition. In return, the sponsor will be provided suitable advertising
and promotional opportunities during the competition and the traditional marketing opportunities and acknowledgments.
A sponsor can use the opportunity to cover the costs of hiring golf carts for the players and in return, each golf cart will
be branded with the sponsor’s logo. Furthermore, the sponsor will receive numerous traditional marketing opportunities
and acknowledgments.
A drinks cart will roam the golf course providing the players with on-course refreshments for the duration of the day. The
sponsor of the Drinks Cart will cover the cost of hiring the golf cart and the beverages consumed on the course, during
the day. The Drinks Cart will be branded with the sponsor’s logo and traditional marketing opportunities and
acknowledgements will be offered to the sponsor.

tournament. Principal sponsorship of the annual golf day is generally valued between R 50 000 and R 100 000 per
annum in cash and/or contra.
