Walt Disney was born on a farm in 1901 in Chicago. As a child, he enjoyed drawing and trains. In 1906, his family moved to a farm in Missouri, where Disney had his happiest years playing as a child. Later in life, Disney founded Disney Studios and created many famous animated films. However, in 1966 he was diagnosed with lung cancer from smoking and passed away shortly after at the age of 65.

was the typical childhood of the son of a farmer. His
father, Elias Disney (1859-1941), of Irish ancestry, 2
had come to the United States from Canada and
had moved to Chicago shortly after marrying
schoolteacher Flora Call (1868-1938), in 1888. Walt
was born in 1901, the fourth of five children of
matrimonio.3 In 1906, according to some, fleeing
the rising crime in Chicago, 4 the family moved to a
farm near Marceline, Missouri. Later, Disney would
say that those were the happiest years of his life. As
