Tuning studio philosophy: emotions and traditions
The world of luxury, calm and dignified, is full of rules, conventions and traditions.
Global brands with long-standing history usually compete with each other with the
quality of their craftsmanship and sophistication of their technical features. It’s not an
easy task to occupy one’s own niche here and assert one’s right for existence. Especially
in the premium car tuning segment, where there are a lot of renowned brands. But “The
Russians can give you a surprise” – that’s what is respectfully said about LARTE Design
at big international automotive exhibitions, where the first Russian tuning studio is
considered an important player. It is called “a Russian company with German
traditions”, because the company was founded in Russia, but a lot of work stages are
performed in Germany.
For LARTE Design the idea of top quality and style in the car design world is determined
by the German philosophy. Prior to becoming the world’s best car specialists, the
Germans bred first class horses which were predecessors of the legendary supercars.
It’s quite curious that the term “in order” came to the car industry from the horse race
lexicon: a well-trained, ideally groomed horse was described as “in Ordnung”, which
means “all right”. As a German saying has it, order is half of life for a German, but for
LARTE Design it’s the whole life. The name LARTE is derived from Italian and means
“the art to create”, which reflects the company’s credo – to create following the laws of
art. The emblem contains all symbols which reflect the company’s philosophy. The royal
blue is the color of the noble origin, and it also symbolizes the Alpine sky which the
company founders saw in Germany. The four horseshoes mean good luck and
happiness, as well as the succession from a horse to a car. You can notice the letter “K”

2. in one of the horseshoes, which stands for “company”. The eight stripes symbolize
eternity and prosperity. The emblem is a harmonious combination of all these signs and
a proud symbol of the company on the hood of each produced car.
We in LARTE Design believe that each car has its own character just like living beings,
and it is full of strength, beauty and sophistication. LARTE Design has created ideal
conditions for putting into practice the boldest and most unexpected ideas of car tuning.
Compliance with global standards and development of car tuning culture are the core
tasks which the studio sets itself.
Tuning designers are artists and engineers at the same time. New ideas are developed in
our own studio in Germany. First tuning kits were also assembled here, in co-authorship
with Vladimir Yartsev, a famous car designer who cooperates with numerous renowned
tuning studios. He was recently given the position of Chief designer of LARTE Design.
In the dynamic automotive world it’s important for LARTE Design to beat not only its
competitors but its own self. To surprise in the present and anticipate the future – this
is the passion and pride of LARTE Design.

3. The founder’s biography
Alexey Yanovskiy is the founder and president of LARTE Design as well as its
mastermind. If this company were a person, it would definitely be like him. For Alexey
who was born in Kazakhstan, in a family of German origin, the striving for absolute
order, persistence and the wish to be the best in everything became the lifestyle from
the very beginning.
In a human character lot of important features are formed in the childhood. Alexey was
much affected by his grandfather who was German. A passionate groom, he loved order
and clarity in everything – in relations with people, with horses and machines. At any
moment his machines were in perfect state – ideally clean and impeccably polished.
Many years later Alexey wanted to name his newly founded company after the
grandfather’s name – Foos, but it turned out that there had already been a tuning
company Foose for a long time in America, whose owner Alexey met several years later.
From the very childhood Alexey tried to improve things, make them more beautiful and
eye-catching. At the age of 6 he made the first tuning for his toy car – painted the parts,
added mudguards, antennas and some buttons. His next hobby was bicycle tuning. At
the same time he acquired his first experience with composite materials and tars in the
aviation model club.
The interest in construction kits and miniature car models became an extraordinary and
a very early beginning of work in the area of tuning, which gradually turned into a
successful career.
The next object for experiments was a motor bike – of course, a red one. Tuning it,
Alexey was for the first time aware how important it is to stand out of the pack, to be a
part of the special group and be accepted by it. At that time it was clear to him that it
was not just about speed and power but also about style and fashion. It was an
important conclusion – to keep pace with the time and, if possible, overtake it. To set
trends. Alexey did everything himself – overhauling, painting, polishing – and his quality
requirements to himself were the strictest ones.
After school Alexey studied at Togliatti car mechanical college and graduated as a
technician-mechanic. Then he graduated from an institute and became an engineer, his
thesis topic was “Internal combustion engines”. He kept working in the area of tuning,
acquiring new knowledge and improving his skills, and in 2012 he founded the
company LARTE Design. That moment became the beginning of the history of a
passionate and dynamic international car tuning company.

4. Our production
Production is the pride of our company. We have exceptional conditions for the
development of unique premium tuning packages. The production includes all working
steps from sketch approval to the final installation of the package on the car. A tightly-
knit, creative and professional team is the most important element of LARTE Design’s
success.
The modern production combines traditions of the valuable manual labor, new
technologies and equipment and high-tech composite materials made of basalt fiber and
carbon fabrics.
Preserving and using manual labor is an important part of the company’s philosophy.
Thanks to our skilled highly-qualified employees we manage to create exclusive design
tuning packages and produce their limited editions with top quality. It is well known
that hand made parts are the inevitable attribute of luxury and symbolize the high
status of their owner.
A serious car is not just a safe and comfortable means of transport; it is also the
reflection of its owner’s character. There are no similar characters, so it’s worthwhile
thinking how, using additional options, to highlight important and individual traits in
your car which are only typical of you. That’s why a tuning studio should work
according to the standards of couture fashion, where each “attire” for the car is
customized, according to the dimensions and wishes of the owner.
Art of self-expression
LARTE Design pursues 2 paradoxical goals: preserve the recognisability and express the
unique character of each car. Like Swiss watch makers, our specialists devote utmost
attention to the improvement of the exterior and, more rarely, of the interior,
accentuating their individuality.
The seam fitting of tuning parts is done manually for each specific car. This process is up
to the standards of tailor’s work at haute couture ateliers. No matter how perfect the
model’s figure is, there are sometimes millimeter small gaps between the dimensions of
the sample and the person. The same applies to cars – each is different from its
assembly line fellows, even if the difference is just a tenth of a millimeter. The studio’s
specialists can identify and correctly mark all these differences and fit the parts so that
the final quality is not distinguished from the perfect factory assembly.
Paints are selected for tuned parts according to the same parameters as in the factory,
so that even the most experienced eye doesn’t distinguish any difference in the colours.
Paint matchers prepare the paint based on the car colour code. Unlike a human eye,
existing computer systems cannot perfectly match the 5-6 shades of the factory paint of

5. the car. That’s why the thickness, brightness and intensity of the paint for tuned parts
are controlled not only by equipment but also by experienced paint experts.
LARTE Design’s creative approach to the transformation of the car image demonstrates
that even a legendary car can be revolutionized thanks to several brilliant details.
Design – the artistic engineering
This is the cornerstone, the first and most interesting creative process in the
development of the future tuning kit prototype. Dozens, and if necessary, hundreds of
sketches are prepared by artists of the design studio in Germany. Usually magazine art
directors check the color and form balance by hanging pages with design layouts on the
walls. The same happens here: dozens of sketches are needed to develop one car, to see
its whole image and individual details. This stage is full of numerous emotional and
sometimes infinite discussions, but at the same time requires bold and quick decision-
making.
The experts of the creative team thoroughly analyze technical features of the car and
combine design with technical capabilities. The best sketch is selected from the mass
and elaborated in additional drawings. In this process the future image is shaped and
the ideas, thoughts and emotions obtain specific form.
The transformation of the car appearance is the result of thorough and precise work of
the designer and model maker with modelling clay. This is one of the most expensive
and complicated materials used in the development of concept cars and tuning
packages. No machine or software can replace the art of manual modelling. Only the
direct interaction with a car, when we put a part of our soul and our feelings into it,
enable the appearance of elements embodying our design philosophy. In this fascinating
process the model maker creates the individual image of the car, outlining and shaping
new facets and surfaces, like a jeweler. The unique combination of seemingly
contradictory lines is the real art of transformation.

Infiniti Q70 LR
A thrilling car with a bold character, perfect geometry and
aggressive spirit. The Q70 LR tuning kit includes new front and
rear bumpers, daytime running lights, spoiler, sills and four
exhaust tips.
Infiniti QX60 LR
LARTE Design offers a completely new radiator grille, modified
front and rear bumpers, new exhaust system with dual chrome
tips, vertical daytime running lights and halogen fog lights as
well as an impressive brake light.
Infiniti QX70 LR1
Experts of our studio believe that just a couple of features are
enough to highlight your crossover and make it a unique car out
of thousands. We changed the front and rear bumper design,
added chrome tailpipes, side skirts and LED running lights, all
of which makes the car look more aggressive and original.
Infiniti QX70 LR2
The dynamics and thrill of this elegant model is highlighted by
the new front and rear bumpers, new radiator grille, exhaust
tips and door sills. Lighting plays a special role in this kit –
vertical LED lamps along the edges of the front bumper are real
eye-catchers.

7. Infiniti QX70 LR3
The brutal appearance of this car has achieved a new dimension
due to the aggressive lower bumper and two rows of running
lights. The tuning kit also includes wheel arch extensions which
make the car 5 cm broader, air inlets in the rear bumper, new
door sills, spoiler and black chrome exhaust tips.
Infiniti QX80 LR1
We have changed the front and rear bumpers and installed
additional LEDs. The new look is more distinct but not
overloaded and has functional advantages: large air intakes in
the bumper provide optimal ventilation of the engine
compartment in traffic, and daytime running lights make the car
even more outstanding. With this tuning kit your Infinity QX80
won’t stay unnoticed.
Infiniti QX80 LR2
This tuning kit for QX80 includes front and rear bumper, door
sills, exhaust system with black chrome tips, radiator grille, an
additional set of daytime running lights and fog lights, making
the supreme off-roader look bolder, lighter, more elegant and
sculptured. The front bumper ensures perfect air stream
distribution, improving the engine cooling and stability at high
speeds.
Infiniti QX80 LR3
This was the very model of Infiniti which inspired LARTE Design
to make the boldest change to the radiator grille – it now
features the letter V meaning the spirit of pioneering and
victory, which is so typical of this powerful car. The front and
rear bumpers were also significantly modified. The exhaust
system was specially developed by the company Remus and has
chrome tailpipes. The car also has new daytime running lights,
fog lights and reflectors from a German supplier Nolden.
Infiniti QX80 Missuro
Missuro is a full-size luxury SUV designed in the tradition of
exclusivity. The front and rear bumpers, the radiator grille, tail
pipes, and the reflectors were re-styled to metamorphose the
car into a fashion-forward vehicle, reminding us that every man
looks best wearing a suit and driving a car with personality. The
studios propasal for Missuro includes a new high-performance
exhaust system is finished off by polished stainless steel tips,
while the engine compartment is now equipped with additional
vents above the headlights. It is aesthetically pleasing and
practical for extra cooling. The highlight of the new package is
the tri-mode LED light with turn signal function. A 3-in-1 option,
the LED lighting triples a as daytime running lights, parking
lights and turn indicators.

8. International presence
The studio is like a theater – everything begins with a creative idea, followed by endless
rehearsals, thorough work of producers, actors and scene designers. Then there is the exciting
preparation for the premier, the preview and, finally, the premier itself, enthusiastic comments
of critics and the love of spectators.
Big international tours are also an inseparable part of it. LARTE Design visits all important
international automotive shows where participation cannot be just purchased; the company
has to prove its high level, its craftsmanship.
The first step on the way to the international recognition was the participation in the
automotive show in Essen, Germany, in November 2013. This exhibition as well as the
legendary aerodynamic design night – the Race Night – became the meeting point of renowned
tuning professionals and car race winners. During that event Range Rover Evoque received the
award “Best in its class” from the editors of the leading German car magazine AUTO BILD. This
was a sign of recognition from the industry’s top professionals.
In November 2014 the famous SEMA Show took place in Las Vegas. It’s the traditional meeting
point of professionals from different areas of tuning: leading global studios, private designers,
engineers, aerography artists and of course key players of the automotive world. The
participation in this show is not an easy task: the city of the most expensive casinos and concert
halls of the country demands flawlessness. That’s why we are so pleased to know that LARTE
Design managed once again to convince the American public of its style, quality and
craftsmanship. The new tuning kit for the legendary Infiniti QX80 named LR3 was highly

9. praised. The wonderful models Infiniti QX80, QX70 and QX60 with LARTE tuning kits were
displayed on the studio’s outdoor exhibition area.
The next stop of the LARTE Design world tour was Los Angeles. It would be true to say that LA
Auto Show 2014 was the Infiniti Special – 3 models were presented at the stand: the most
popular QX80 in the third tuning kit as well as QX70-LR3 with black and the LR2 kit with white
body colour.
The exhibition period came to its end in December in the German city of Essen, where the new
project named Winner was presented on the basis of Range Rover Sport. The front area of the
car had been fully modified. The work received positive comments from international
journalists and the visitors could enjoy the more aggressive and bold look of Range Rover. A
special mention was made about the studio’s individual style – its characteristic features are
recognizable even without the badge.
And finally in April 2015 LARTE Design will for the first time take part in one of the world’s
most prestigious supercar forums in Monaco. The key highlight of stand No. D4 was the new kit
called Elizabeta based on Tesla Model S. The exhibited car is totally different from the previous
models produced by LARTE Design in all the years of its work. This will be the first experience
with an electric vehicle which was possible thanks to the studio’s long-term work with petrol
and diesel engines of off-road models.
This is just a short overview of the studio’s life. The life which never comes to a halt, like the
beating of the heart.
