material and original material such as
interviews.
Theme
• It’s a PC game, that shows the power of gender representation.
• It shows the change of gaming, and how it has became a big part of
many young people’s life.
Narrative Structure

• Closed and single strand documentary, this is because it only focus’s
one person (Lara Croft).
• It is also Non-Linear.
• There is all so no unanswered questions.
Camera Work
• The interviews were either big close ups or medium, they were all
so either to the left or right of the screen. This is the conversional
way of framing an interview, using the “third” rule.
• There was one main tracking shot of people playing the Lara Croft
game.
• There was a point of view shot going down into the cyber café.
• There were many panning and tilt shots, the use of many different
shots makes it more visually interesting.
Mise-en-scene
• When interviewing Toby Gard they but him into a computer
screen, as he created the character.
• They used a green screen to show the game behind the interviews
when they were been interviewed.
• Front projection was used in one the of the interviews on Catherine
Channnon.
Sound

• Background music was used through out the whole documentary, it
was electronic music which represents the game.
• Music went with the explosion.
Editing

• Quick cutting was used through out the documentary.
• Fast motion was used in the café.
