OTHER FACTORS TO BE AWARE OF IF YOU
OR A REFERRAL WANTS SUPPORT:
• Funding for working capital and capital
• Support will be given to projects that create jobs (mostly)
• Grant is taxable
• Need to demonstrate the need for grant
• De Minimis (€200K over a rolling three period)
• Cannot start the project until grant is awarded
• Bureaucratic process

KEY THINGS TO LOOK FOR IN A SUITABLE REFERRAL:
• Businesses that are growing/changing
• If pre start can generate over £80k in year 1
• Need help 3 to 6 months in advance
• What business sector are they in (some better than others)
• Haven’t started “their” project yet, if they want capital grant
• What job creation will there be?
• Is the business idea credible?
• If in doubt speak with us to clarify
