The February meeting of the Lake/Sumter FALA Chapter was hosted at Regency Park ALF. The meeting recap discussed two legislative bills being watched that would require upgrades to fire safety codes if passed. The next meeting will be on March 10th at Mission Oaks ALF & Memory Care, where the speaker Bob Gravely will discuss predictive results and how to make smart hiring decisions.

• Legislative Bills being watched- HB 0965 & SB 1164 (find copies of these bills on My Local
Network.net via: http://mylocalnetwork.net/alf-news.html- ALF News). If passed, these Bills will
require new communities & existing communities who build or repair existing systems, to
upgrade to 2012 Fire Safety Codes (add sprinklers, upgrade existing fire safety devices, etc).
