- Think of what’s on the surface (cilia, glands)
- A venule is a miniature vein (thin epithelium for gas diffusion from blood to tissue and tissue to blood)
- Cells lining the trachea need cilia to remove dust and mucus
- Outermost, layer of skin (below dead, keratinized skin cells) is made of stratified squamous
- A blast cell is the stem-cell version of that cell type
- Mesentery are sheets of tissue that hold the viscera in place
- Aorta has to stretch, it’s the largest artery and the first artery to receive blood from the heart.
