To whom it may concern,
It is my privilege to recommend, without reservation, Kyle Brown for your consideration for
employment.
My professional role is with New Hanover County directing, training and development for the enterprise
of approximately 1700 public servants. I have had the honor to work with many committed public
servants who are truly formidable when seeking to serve the needs of the citizens and ensure the best
outcomes in every encounter. In my private life, I have found similar people, like Kyle, who are equally
as committed to servant leadership. While serving as a board member and founding building director of
the Miracle League of Wilmington (an all access/inclusive ball park and athletic field and playground
which provides health, wellness, and outdoor fun for persons of all abilities), I had the privilege of having
Kyle as an intern and someone I relied on a great deal for our communications and outreach.
Kyle, a student at UNCW at the time, came to the Miracle League at a critical juncture as we were
opening. His precision with the language, his sharp analytical skills and his editorial savvy helped to
shape many of the early publications we were creating for the fledging non-profit. As a result of the
professional level of writing and our means to translate the story we were developing, we are here three
years later serving the Cape Fear region and many of the conveyances Kyle created for us both on the
web and in hard copy are still in use.
Kyle has a very easy way of serving others and getting work processed with a deep and abiding respect
for listening and ensuring that what he is creating matches what is being conveyed. His talent for helping
and aiding others in understanding complex issues is one of his strengths, both written and oral, and
anyone would be fortunate to have him on their team.
I look forward to hearing of his next steps and watching him continue to grow through each experience.
Sincerely,
L.S. “Bo” Dean Jr
