To whom it may concern:
Please accept this letter as my recommendation for Kyle Bates. Kyle has been an exemplary student
during his studies in the Business Information Systems (BIS) program at Saskatchewan Polytechnic. His
attendance and effort are exemplary and I have no doubt that Kyle will be graduating near, or at the top of
his class.
During his studies Kyle performed above and beyond the level expected of BIS students. He volunteered
for several of our outreach programs working with the K-12 system including our ThinkIT camp and Plan
Program Play camp. He demonstrated skill and maturity when dealing with high school students interested
in Information Technology. He also volunteered to assist the BIS faculty at career fairs where he served as
an excellent ambassador for our program. These activities were done on Kyle’s own time and often
required him to log extra hours of independent study to get caught up on his school work.
Kyle is a leader and role model to his peers. He served as a project leader on three large projects during
his studies including a content management system for a small business, an R&D application using virtual
reality technology to assist the visually impaired, and management and production of a video game. He
was a natural leader, worked well with his team, remained amicable to his class mates while keeping them
focused on the project process, and serious about their studies.
It is without hesitation that I recommend Kyle for employment in the IT sector. I believe he will continue to
be an excellent ambassador for the BIS program through his talent and professionalism, successful at any
endeavor he chooses, and an asset to any employer.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate do contact me.
