The field trip took students to Kuehn Conservation to learn about Native American culture through experiencing a smudging ceremony inside a teepee, seeing a mammoth tooth, trying to spear a buffalo to earn lunch, and learning how to make fire. Students also learned about prairie chickens, burial mounds, and laws protecting sacred sites.
