This document provides rules and examples for writing a diamante poem. A diamante poem is shaped like a diamond with seven lines, where the first and last words are opposites and the middle line is a pivot word. Words in alternating lines are adjectives and -ing verbs. Examples are given for dogs/cats, square/circle, and fire/ice. The document also includes links for more information on writing diamante poems.
