Leadership by Default or Choice
· Those who lead by default allow past experiences to dictate
their results and environment

themselves others to a specific destination
· Coach Centric Leaders lead by choice and don’t react t their
environment and those in it adjust to them
· Coach Centric Leaders operate without limitation, hesitation
or doubt and with contagious, tremendous drive and confidence,
Talent 1: An Acute Awareness of Self and Others
· Know who you are and what makes you unique
· Don’t allow others to define who you are.
Talent 2: Challenge Perceptions and Interpretations
· Coach Centric Leaders
· Understand that individuals can be limited by their perceptions
through the filter of their own experiences which shape the way
information is interpreted and decisions are made
· Realize that each person has their own unique perspectives
and seek to expand their view
· To encourage healthy debates, examine alternatives and
perspectives.
· In Any Situation
· First look at how you are making judgements then look at how
others are approaching it
· Don’t limit decisions based on your own perspective-ask
yourself and others to examine the situation so that all
perspectives are examined and the best sours of action is taken

· Don’t buy into preconceived limitations or the belief that
certain things are “impossible” and don’t understand words like

focusing on what’s wrong they focus on what could be.

· A unified goal provides clear decision making and the most
positive outcome
· They focus on progress and specific steps that move toward
the vision and established goals

· Focus on one key initiative to undertake to achieve their
vision and have multiple supporting strategies that will enable
that initiative to thrive
· They realize the power behind collective efforts and resources

· Know that progress cannot continue until decisions are made
· For major decisions they look at their ultimate goal and how
the decision impact all stakeholders
· Focus on making the best decisions, not the right ones

  • 2. Talent 1: An Acute Awareness of Self and Others · Know who you are and what makes you unique · Don’t allow others to define who you are. Talent 2: Challenge Perceptions and Interpretations · Coach Centric Leaders · Understand that individuals can be limited by their perceptions through the filter of their own experiences which shape the way information is interpreted and decisions are made · Realize that each person has their own unique perspectives and seek to expand their view · To encourage healthy debates, examine alternatives and perspectives. · In Any Situation · First look at how you are making judgements then look at how others are approaching it · Don’t limit decisions based on your own perspective-ask yourself and others to examine the situation so that all perspectives are examined and the best sours of action is taken Talent 3: Think Like a Visionary · Don’t buy into preconceived limitations or the belief that certain things are “impossible” and don’t understand words like “can’t” or “fall” · Employ much more than just analytical thinking.
