Although Parker was a great musician of his time, he faced myriad problems in his life. He has
continuous mental health problems. Also, he struggled with addiction. His life changed forever in
March 1954 when his three-year-old daughter left the world due to pneumonia and cystic fibrosis. He
was once admitted to a mental hospital as well.
