lifestyles through fun
activities!
3 Hour KITK Event for ~35 Dixie Manor Kids
4. Growing Your Own Food
Kids planted several herbs to learn about growing their own
food. They took these home to plant in their own yards!
5. Importance of Exercise
JLBR Volunteers led the kids in Yoga and challenged them to
a jump rope contest to show them some fun, inexpensive
ways to stay active!
6. Cooking a Healthy Meal
Leslie from the
Davis Therapy Center
volunteered to lead an
interactive cooking class
for the kids to make a
delicious and nutritious
meal!
7. Choosing Nutritious Treats
Kids made yogurt
parfaits with
toppings such as
granola,
strawberries, &
bananas for a
healthy snack!
9. Taking Healthy Living Home
The day ended with a raffle for a Wii! All the kids took home
goodie bags of healthy snacks, bottled water, and jump ropes.
