over 20,000 employees. Managed several R&D departments creating new products. Developed new strategies for R&D to
increase competitiveness. Simultaneously, served as the CEO of Bochvar, a TVEL subsidiary with 1500 employees, in
which most of TVEL’s R&D was concentrated. Instituted new growth-oriented strategies for Bochvar.
Pooled 27 Rosatom projects ($1M to $50M each) for an injection of venture capital by Rosnano:
• Organized the new department for the pooled projects, setting it up as an independent effective working structure.
• Hired ten project managers, and developed the deal structure agreeable to both sides.
• Held meetings for the Heads of the two corporations. Signed term sheets for major 2010 deals.
• Implemented new rules and regulations for the projects.

Director of Strategy for Sistema’s High Technology & Industry Business Unit (2008-2010)
Sistema is the largest public diversified financial corporation in Russia and the CIS ($42B total assets), and manages
companies in telecommunications, technology, oil and other energy sources, radar, aerospace, banking, retail, mass media,
tourism, and healthcare services sectors. As Director of Strategy, directed nearly all activities of Sistema’s High Technology
& Industry Business Unit, a $2B organization that includes Sitronics JSC, Concern RTI JSC, and Binnopharm JSC, and the
US-based Coral venture fund. Developed portfolio strategies, created 5-year development strategies for Holdings,
performed crisis scenarios, formulated crisis aversion plans, and developed capex/opex plans. Prepared budgets jointly with
the corporate financial department.
Successfully led $2B Business Unit through the 2008-2010 global financial crisis:
• Analyzed and negotiated various large scale international M&A opportunities and worked on PPP projects of the
government.
• Developed debt substitution projects with partner banks. Substituted Sitronic’s and Concern RTI’s short-term debts with
long-term government loans as part of state supported development programs.
• Sold underperforming parts of the business and attracted a $40M investment to complete the construction of a new
Binnopharm JSC manufacturing site. Once the site was finished, Binnopharm was then able to secure new orders.
• Initiated and completed a project whereby Rusnano (Russia’s largest venture fund) invested $200M cash to renovate a
chip production facility – a joint project of Sitronics, Rosnano, and French ST Microlectronics (total project size of
$500M).

• Guided team in conducting DCF modeling during crises scenarios and used this instrument for various applications.
Vice President of Strategy & Marketing for CONCERN RTI JSC (CRTIS) (2004-2008)
Headed overall strategy and development as one of the four top Managers of $490M CRTIS, a subsidiary of Sistema JSFA.
CRTIS is a holding comprised of 20 main companies working in three sectors: radio and missile; complex communication
and security systems; and power drive systems. It is ranked as #99 in the world’s Top Defense 100. Both through M&A of
companies and technologies, and as head of sales and marketing, helped led CRTIS to grow from $36M to $300M+.
Traveled extensively worldwide to meet with investment banks, owners of companies, and government representatives in
different countries. Hired and directed twenty subordinates accountable for strategy, development, marketing, and PR.
Represented CRTIS at multi-national forums as one of three representatives of the Russian aerospace industry, including
the EU Industrial forum in Lisbon, as well as the Sistema investor relations meeting in London. Served as board member on
many of CRTIS’s holding companies.
Spearheaded the M&A of 11 companies that doubled sales by 2008, today representing 70% of CRTIS sales:
• Acquired OKB Planet, RTI Radio, Rosspetzmontage, DMZ, Yaroslavl Radio Corporation, MTU Saturn, Centr Telco,
CPS, Navigation systems, WATT DRIVE GMBH, and Uralelectro.
• Developed and implemented successful growth strategy for CRTIS and newly acquired companies.

Directed operational activities with invested capital of $10M. Led the fund to buy projects and businesses that provided
technology or other competitive advantages to Sistema JSFC. Increased R&D savings though the purchase of companies
that owned key products and technologies beneficial to Sistema JSFC.

clearance personnel. Modernized the trade process via computerization, optimized logistic expenses, expanded the
number of suppliers, and broadened the assortment of goods and products. Tripled monthly sales within three years.
