9. Why Does the Sun Shine?
“You shall know.
Step into the
Imaginatron and
we shall go.”
10.
11. “ Hi kids, I’m professor
Chili Verde Sanchez
Obrien. Jump in fast, it’s
cold out there.”
12.
13. “There’s the sun. That’s where were heading.
Fasten your seatbelts it is 93 miles away.”
14. Professor Chili Verde
Sanchez Obrien explains
what the children are
seeing.
“The windshield shows an overview
of the solar system with the sun as a
big ball at the center, a blinking light
for the saucer, and arcs for the
planets. Jupiter and Saturn are
visible, but the other planets are
just dots.”
15. “ The sun shines because
it is hot, hot, hydrogen
gas.”
“The hydrogen gas in the
sun stays hot because
hydrogen fusion is fusing
hydrogens together.”
16.

18. The mighty Kingdom of Why sits on the edge of a sparkling ocean as the sun
drifts up over the horizon, leaving a shiny glow as we begin a new day of
learning and adventure for a group of children

20. She carries a magic wand
to take us anywhere into
any time and into any
galaxy. On this day, she
leads a group of children
towards the castle at the
Kingdom of Why.
21. Fisherman Fred has a
lot of knowledge about
the ocean.
Today he has been
arguing with Sean the
mischievous tiger shark,
who has already eaten
Fisherman Fred’s alarm
clock, book, and
eyeglasses.
22. Sean is harmless, but
playful. He does not eat
people, only their
belongings!
23. Princess Patrice takes the
children to the castle
lobby where there is a
beautiful glass elevator.
In order to proceed to
level one in the elevator ,
the children must work as
a team and submit
questions about the
ocean to Princess Patrice.
24. “We want you kids to grow
up gaining knowledge and
to be smart, and do well in
your lives, so today you will
ask questions about the
ocean.”
25. The children have
submitted their first
question. Fisherman
Fred answers:
“ Sea water contains
plant matter algae
which in part makes it
blue in color and in part
it absorbs and reflects
light. “
26. Princess Patrice informs
the children that they
are now entering a
question marathon
about the ocean. At the
end of the marathon,
there will be an award
show.
27. Using teamwork, the
children have come up
with another question
about the ocean.
Princess Patrice
introduces Mermaid
Melva who answers:
“This is due to
untreated sewage,
industrial waste, spilled
oil and pesticide residue
which end up in the
ocean.”
28. Mermaid Melva responds to the children’s
question:
“The ocean helps us breathe and gives us
more than half our oxygen.”
29. “Alright children, says
Princess Patrice, “It is
always customary to
give out special awards
here at the Kingdom of
Why. Why, you say?
Because we have to
recognize intelligence
and wisdom!
30. Will you be part of our
mission to create a
project which will help
kids learn and at the
same time have fun
doing it?
Let’s help children
make beautiful futures
with the Kingdom of
Why.
