This document discusses a surface design brief to create a collection of wallpapers inspired by a visit to Kilve and that could be sold at Liberty. It explores influences from William Morris, Orla Kiely, and Henri Matisse. Pattern ideas are presented based on each artist's work, with the strongest design taking pebbles from Kilve and simplifying/changing colors in Orla Kiely's style. The brief, current Liberty wallpapers, and three artists considered are discussed as inspiration for designing the wallpaper collection.
