3. The Schools and Libraries Program The Schools and Libraries of the Universal Service Fund is commonly referred to as “The E-Rate”. This program provides discounts to assist most schools and libraries in the US obtain affordable telecommunications and internet access. Discounts for support depend on the level of poverty and the urban/rural status of the population served and range from 20% to 90% of the costs of eligible services.

Killeen ISD Technology Plan District Goal: For 2010-2011, we expect to complete installation of 50% of district classrooms with the classroom technology package and complete 25% of district campuses with their scheduled campus lifecycle deployment as well as continue training and utilization of district intervention initiatives.

Ensure access to reliable and well-supported technology and network systems to meet current and emerging needs Continue to provide resources for campuses based on adopted standards for lifecycle replacements and classroom technology projects.
