Den Auftakt des RMFT 2013 machte in bewährter Manier der Vortrag "Records Management, Information Governance & aktuelle Trends" von Dr. Ulrich Kampffmeyer, PROJECT CONSULT. Kampffmeyer behandelte die Themen "Was ist Information Governance?" mit ausführlichen Diskussion der Definitionen, die „Principles“ (Generally Accepted Principles of Records Keeping der ARMA), die „PHIGs“ (10 Principles of Holistic Information Governance) als generelle Merksätze, den Unterschied zwischen Information Governance & Records Management, Sinn und Nutzen von Maturity Modellen (z.B. das Maturity Modell zu den Principles der ARMA), die Bestandteile einer Information Governance Policy (nach Mike2), Aktuelles zu Standards, Richtlinien und Gesetzen (wie z.B. ISB 0086) und (übersprang) am Schluss eine Reihe von Thesen zur Zukunft von Information Governance von Richard Medina, Doculabs.
Current discussions confuse the industry and endusers alike. For 20 years ECM Enterprise Content Management had been the message of the industry and analysts.
Now rapid moving developments in ITC change the scene.
Will Enterprise Information Management, Intelligent Information Management, Digital Workplace or Content Services the banner of the industry?
A view on the state and history of DMS & ECM, current changes, and an overview about important trends changing the scene will be presented.
Berlin, October 10th, 2018
Agenda
1. Introduction: ECM – State of the art
2. ECM is dead
3. Enterprise Information Management, Intelligent Information Management, Information Governance, Content Services and other messages
4. Ten trends - changing the direction of Information Management

Why Big Data Analytics Needs Business Intelligence Too Barry Devlin
Business and IT are facing the challenge of getting real and urgent value from ever-expanding information sources. Building independent silos of big data analytics is no longer enough. True progress comes only by integrating data from traditional operational and informational sources with the new sources that are becoming available, whether from social media or interconnected machines.
In this April 2014 BrightTALK webinar, Dr. Barry Devlin describes the thinking, architecture, tools and methods needed to achieve a new joined-up, comprehensive data environment.
A sample of my book "Business unIntelligence - Insight and Innovation beyond Analytics and Big Data", published by Technics Publications, 2013.
Chapter 5 shows the evolution of the Data Warehouse architecture and provides a description of some aspects of a modern Information architecture.
The book can be ordered in hard and softcopy formats at http://bit.ly/BunI-TP1
Business unIntelligence - a Whistle Stop TourBarry Devlin
The old world of business intelligence is being transformed into a new biz-tech ecosystem. Analytics is forcing the recombination of operational and informational systems in a consistent and coherent IT environment for all business activities. Big data—despite the hype—introduces two very different types of information that transform how business processes interact with the external world. Together, these directions are driving a new BI, so different to its prior form that I call it “Business unIntelligence”. This session covers:
- Business drivers and results of the biz-tech ecosystem
- Modern conceptual and logical architectures for information, process and people
- Positioning of all forms of business analytic and big data

Records Management vs. EIM Enterprise Information Management | Ulrich Kampffmeyer | Swiss IM Forum 8.5.2014 | Diskussionsvorlage für Toebak vs. Kampffmeyer auf dem Swiss Information Management Forum 2014 |
4 Thesen |
[1] Enterprise Information Management versusRecords Management ist der falsche Ansatz:
These 1
These 2
These 3
These 4

To cover this scope EIM supports, uses and unifies functional components like Social Business, Enterprise Search, Business Process Management, Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, Automated Classification, BigData, Knowledge Management, Cloud, Mobile and Information Lifecycle Management, which surround Enterprise Content Management as the core of EIM."

SME- Developing an information governance strategy 2016 Hybrid Cloud
This white paper discusses the variety of challenges focused on information governance and also offers a variety of recommendations about what organizations can do to improve their information governance practices. The paper also provides a brief overview of its sponsor – StorageMadeEasy – and the company’s relevant solutions.
The lack of good information governance has brought us to an inflection point:
decision makers must gain control of their information to enable innovation, profit
and growth; or continue down the current path of information anarchy and
potentially lose out to competitors who are better able to govern their information.

Removing Uninteresting Bytes in Software FuzzingAftab Hussain
Imagine a world where software fuzzing, the process of mutating bytes in test seeds to uncover hidden and erroneous program behaviors, becomes faster and more effective. A lot depends on the initial seeds, which can significantly dictate the trajectory of a fuzzing campaign, particularly in terms of how long it takes to uncover interesting behaviour in your code. We introduce DIAR, a technique designed to speedup fuzzing campaigns by pinpointing and eliminating those uninteresting bytes in the seeds. Picture this: instead of wasting valuable resources on meaningless mutations in large, bloated seeds, DIAR removes the unnecessary bytes, streamlining the entire process.
In this work, we equipped AFL, a popular fuzzer, with DIAR and examined two critical Linux libraries -- Libxml's xmllint, a tool for parsing xml documents, and Binutil's readelf, an essential debugging and security analysis command-line tool used to display detailed information about ELF (Executable and Linkable Format). Our preliminary results show that AFL+DIAR does not only discover new paths more quickly but also achieves higher coverage overall. This work thus showcases how starting with lean and optimized seeds can lead to faster, more comprehensive fuzzing campaigns -- and DIAR helps you find such seeds.

Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.
Why You Should Replace Windows 11 with Nitrux Linux 3.5.0 for enhanced perfor...SOFTTECHHUB
The choice of an operating system plays a pivotal role in shaping our computing experience. Epistemic Interaction - tuning interfaces to provide information for AI supportAlan Dix
Paper presented at SYNERGY workshop at AVI 2024, Genoa, Italy. 3rd June 2024
https://alandix.com/academic/papers/synergy2024-epistemic/
As machine learning integrates deeper into human-computer interactions, the concept of epistemic interaction emerges, aiming to refine these interactions to enhance system adaptability. This approach encourages minor, intentional adjustments in user behaviour to enrich the data available for system learning. This paper introduces epistemic interaction within the context of human-system communication, illustrating how deliberate interaction design can improve system understanding and adaptation. Through concrete examples, we demonstrate the potential of epistemic interaction to significantly advance human-computer interaction by leveraging intuitive human communication strategies to inform system design and functionality, offering a novel pathway for enriching user-system engagements.

Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
