Kevin McCasky understands the importance of knowing one's local elected officials and how local governments function. As a former Jefferson County public official, McCasky knows local governments can seem complex but have a direct impact on citizens. Jefferson County currently has 10 elected officials, including a Board of County Commissioners, Clerk and Recorder, and County Assessor. It also has two appointed positions: an Executive Director of the Public Library and an Executive Director of Public Health. A Public Trustee is appointed by Colorado's governor.
