2014~ Current Solutions Architect
Disys (contracted to Novartis), Ft. Worth, TX
Currently I am a Security Solutions Architect for the AED department at Novartis. This position requires
that I manage a variety of projects and upgrade the current global remote access solution for 2 companies.
I am consolidating 2 global networks into one common global network in accordance with industry
standards and best practice protocols. Some of my projects include:
 Architect a new Global Remote access solution.
 The HRAS required geo-location and support for 250,000 concurrent users.
 Working on the refresh of Perimeter firewalls and internal firewalls.
 Presented 2 POC RAS solutions. One using all checkpoints and one using all Junipers, We are
currently testing both solutions to see which one provides the best coverage.
 Configuring F5 loadbalancers to provide the Geo-location with DNS sharing for the new POC.
 Assisted in making the legacy VPN solution work with Safenet OTP.
 Currently working on the Global AWS initiative to move into a cloud environment.

During my career at CHL, I was the security specialist and the Senior network engineer for my team. This
position required I manage a variety of projects and upgrade the current Regional network (5 state) in
accordance with industry standards and best practice protocols. Some of my clients/projects include:
 Architected a disaster recovery environment. I configured all network and security equipment.
 Troubleshooting all firewall and VPN connections for all users, as well as keeping all network
drawings up to date using Microsoft Visio.
 Upgraded all network equipment for 130 sites as well as migrated the infrastructure from 4506e
to Nexus7ks. We implemented BGP at the edge and OSPF internally.

During my career at OBI, I was the security specialist and the Senior network engineer for my team. This

2005 -2010 Senior Network Systems Engineer

During my career at HP, I was the security specialist and the subject matter expert of firewalls and VPN's
for my team. This position required I manage a variety of projects and work with many international
clients where I had to lead conference calls and build their networks in accordance with industry standards
and best practice protocols. I worked within the MFS and AOPS Groups. Managed the Disaster Recovery
Datacenter for several Global Clients. Some of my clients/projects included:
 Architecting a disaster recovery environment for a major aerospace company. I configured all
network and security equipment and managed the workload of 4 additional engineers. I completed three
successful disaster drills during this project.
 Created several network environments for high impact global customers, including SABRE,
DIAL, AMERICAN AIRLINES, BIOGENIDEC & NIKE. My team was responsible for maintaining
security around Nike’s website during the creation of The Human Race. This brought well over 150,000
end customers into the environment with no impact or downtime.
 Troubleshooting all firewall and VPN connections for various internal customers, as well as
keeping all network drawings up to date using Microsoft Visio.
 Provided network connectivity and support for Service Oriented Architecture. We used various
concepts like SOAP and RPC calls. All of our networks and servers were configured with high
availability using BGP and OSPF on the routers and configured the switches using industry standards
for Spanning Tree.
 Configured and maintained all Cisco and HP Switches for each customer.
 Configured and Maintained all Cisco, Juniper and checkpoint firewalls for each customer as well
as migrated several customers off of Juniper and Checkpoint Firewalls.
 I was responsible for configuring and maintaining all Loadbalancers for various customers using
both CSS’s and F5 Big-IP. Towards the end of my career we were migrating off of the CSS and
converting our HA compartments over to ACE and F-5 loadbalancers.
 Analyzed syslog files from servers and network appliances to determine any connectivity issues
as well as any security risks or intrusions.
2004 ~ 2005 Senior Systems Engineer (IAO)
Defense Information Systems Agency by contract of Computer Systems Designers – Contract, OKC, OK
I held a contracted position with the Security Emergency Response Team (SIRT) and was responsible for:
 Analyzing vulnerabilities to many Windows based servers.
 Managing and maintaining several security scans for the SIPR and the NIPR network.
 Acting liaison between the System Administrators and the Chief of Staff.
 Providing the system vulnerabilities to the DISA Directors and the Base General.
 Used SOA to provide seamless communications between all customers and entities
 Providing security logs and risk assessments for all network devices and servers to the Joint
Chiefs.

I took this position on the night shift to allow my wife and me to both work and avoid placing our sickly

  • 3. WORK EXPERIENCE: 2014~ Current Solutions Architect Disys (contracted to Novartis), Ft. Worth, TX Currently I am a Security Solutions Architect for the AED department at Novartis. This position requires that I manage a variety of projects and upgrade the current global remote access solution for 2 companies. I am consolidating 2 global networks into one common global network in accordance with industry standards and best practice protocols.   • 5. 2005 -2010 Senior Network Systems Engineer EDS, a division of Hewlett-Packard Company, Plano, TX During my career at HP, I was the security specialist and the subject matter expert of firewalls and VPN's for my team. This position required I manage a variety of projects and work with many international clients where I had to lead conference calls and build their networks in accordance with industry standards and best practice protocols. I worked within the MFS and AOPS Groups. Managed the Disaster Recovery Datacenter for several Global Clients. Some of my clients/projects included:  Architecting a disaster recovery environment for a major aerospace company. I configured all network and security equipment and managed the workload of 4 additional engineers. I completed three successful disaster drills during this project.  Created several network environments for high impact global customers, including SABRE, DIAL, AMERICAN AIRLINES, BIOGENIDEC & NIKE. My team was responsible for maintaining security around Nike’s website during the creation of The Human Race. This brought well over 150,000 end customers into the environment with no impact or downtime.  Troubleshooting all firewall and VPN connections for various internal customers, as well as keeping all network drawings up to date using Microsoft Visio.  Provided network connectivity and support for Service Oriented Architecture. We used various concepts like SOAP and RPC calls.
