WORK EXPERIENCE
Nov’13 – present (20 months) Megadale Ltd Quality Manager & Design Engineer
I am currently working in an Automation Engineering company called Megadale which
is based in Galway and employs 25 people. This company specialises in the production
of high-end technology and machinery for the Medical Device Industry.
Implemented ISO 9001 & OHSAS 18001 as an integrated management system, I wrote
the quality manual and procedures and gained certification.
Acted as representative for the company during the Audits to gain certification.
Manage the QMS on a daily basis. Conduct employee training, internal audits, CAPA
register and apply continuous improvement to internal processes.
Supplier approval, client feedback and trend analysis of all facets of the company
contribute to continual improvement process.
I am involved in Mechanical Design using Solidworks. For smaller machines, I am
involved in all stages of design. For larger projects, I produce construction drawings
and specify the properties of parts designed in house.
Involved in Technical Documentation generation for machinery including Risk
Assessment, FMEA, Method Statements, CE Marking and User Manuals.
June’13 – Nov’13 (6 months) PRO Stainless Designs Ltd Graduate Quality Engineer
After completing college, I gained a temporary position in a Stainless Steel
manufacturing company based in Ardee, Co. Louth.
Implemented and gained ISO 9001 & OHSAS 18001 certification for the company which
have over 60 employees.
My role included the creation of an Integrated Management System, Implementation of
the system, Audit participation and employee training to ensure the system is
maintained.
2. Apr’12 – Sept’12 (6 months) Spectac Ltd Placement Engineering Intern
My role included the production of construction drawings of various pressure vessels,
silos and other objects made by Spectac. I also produced 3D models of various
projects undertaken by Spectac. This was all done on Solidworks.
Had an integral role in preparing and organizing the implementation of ISO 9001, ISO
14001 & OHSAS 18001 for Spectac Ltd. I wrote the integrated management system.
I also managed the integrated system during my time there, and represented the
company during the Audit to achieve ISO Certification.
June 2007-August 2007 EliteForm Operative
My job included working on the production line which made industrial and housing
gutters. This involved working to a tight schedule in order to meet deadlines.
Jun’06-Aug’06 & Jun’08-Aug’11 Wogan’s Distributors Warehouse Operative
I worked at a local Hardware Store. I dealt with customers on a continuous basis.
Maintained orders for customers and had general operative duties such as up keeping
the warehouse floor.
Apr’05-Oct’10 Local Pub Bar Tender
I worked part-time in a local pub at the weekends. From this, I strengthened my
interpersonal skills and customer focus.
