Kilbirnie Community Football Club
Background
KCFC was officially launched on 24 May 2006 with the following
objectives:
• To increase access to sports and leisure opportunities for the
inhabitants of Kilbirnie and the surrounding areas;
• To develop a player pathway for local sport and leisure, thereby
encouraging a more positive and healthy lifestyle for today's
society; and
• To develop social education programs that reflect the principles and
policies of the club, to assist in building a safe and strong
community.

Key milestones to date:
• Quality Mark – Development Level – November 2006;
• Club website developed – January 2007;
• Compound/Portable goals installed – September 2008;
• Quality Mark – Community Level – December 2008;
Kilbirnie Community Football Club
• Introduction of KCFC Charter which all applicable
teams have signed up to – July 2010;
• Soccer School launched – May 2011;
• Mum’s team launched – June 2012;
• Increase in number of playing teams from 9 (2006)
to 15 (2013)
• Quality Mark – Legacy Level – May 2013
