However the average temperature can be very high
between May and September.
The coldest season / winter is in the months of

Requirements
Kazan is the capital city of Tatarstan Repulbic in
Russia. As part of the Russian Federation, it’s
essential to get a visa for Russia. Note that it’s
impossible to get this visa at Kazan International
Airport (KZN).
If you are American, Australian, Canadian, English,
Irish, a New Zealander, Swiss or from any other
European country and you are organising travel to
Kazan, you must obtain a tourist visa from the
Embassy of the Russian Federation located in your
country.

General Description
Kazan is one of Russia's oldest cities, located on the
Volga River, 820 km away from Moscow. It is the
capital of Tatarstan which is home to 115
nationalities. Russian and Tatar are the two official
languages of the region, with completely equal
status. Islam and Orthodox Christianity are the most
widespread. Here you'll find mosques, Orthodox,
Catholic churches and cathedrals, a synagogue, and
other religious buildings and centres.

The White-Stone Kremlin
Walking Tour
Kazan Kremlin is the main sight of the city; it is a
UNESCO world heritage site. The Kremlin is the
official residence of President of the Republic of
Tatarstan and a state museum-preserve attended by
thousands of tourists every year. The white-stone
Kremlin is the heart of an ancient city that
incorporates the culture of the East and West.

Palace of Farmers Outside
Visit
Built in just two years, the new home of the Ministry
of Agriculture typifies baroque grandiosity. Intricately
designed, an enormous bronze tree is the building’s
centrepiece while metal sculptures of Zilant, Kazan’s
city emblem, also features in the design concept.

Bakhcha restaurant is located on the Kremlin
embankment with a spectacular view on the Kremlin
skyline and the city from the terrasse. Variety of
Eastern cuisine items are presented on the menu,
Syrian, Uzbek, Armenian, Arabic, Lebanon, and of
course, Tatar dishes.

Kazan Arbat Walking Tour
Bfavorite places to walk for both residents and
guests of Kazan, a meeting point for people in love.
During the tour, make a lot of amazing discoveries:
jets of fountains, belfry and Epiphany church where
Fyodor Shalyapin was baptized, a monument to
Shalyapin himself, a building of the National Bank,
zero milestone, Peter & Paul Cathedral. Meet Su

Library of the Republic of
Tatarstan
The House of Zinaida Ushkova is a building in Kazan,
in the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia, which was
reconstructed in the beginning of the 20th century in
an eclectic style. It is an impressive sight in the city
center and an object of Russian heritage. In 1919 it
became a central building of the National Library of
the Republic of Tatarstan and is now open to visitors
and tourists.

Dinner at the Dali
Restaurant inspired by
Dali's love story with his
wife Gala
The restaurant was open in autumn of 2019. The
name was not immediately invented, but already at
the stage of developing the design of the room. The
designer suggested focusing on surrealism and
cubism. Initially, they wanted to name the Gala
restobar in honor of the Kazan wife of Salvador Dali.
Restaurant Dali offers original dishes with unusual
presentation, business lunches on weekdays and
much more.

Marusovka Restaurant
"Marusovka" Restaurant started working on the site
of the oldest city cafe "Theater" in the House of the
actor on Schapov. The menu contains favorites from
Russian, European and Pan-Asian cuisines, which
creates a light but not irritating mess.

DAY 3 - 13th SEPTEMBER 2020, SUNDAY

Universal Temple
Observation
The unique building combines features of Catholic,
Orthodox and Buddhist temples, a Mosque and a
Synagogue. Ildar Khanov designed the Temple not as
a religious center but as a site, combining a museum,
a concert hall and an exhibition gallery. The Universal
Temple is an architectural symbolic symbiosis of
religions, civilizations and cultures.

Sightseeing Tour to the
Suburbs of Kazan - the
Island Town of Sviyazhsk
During this sightseeing tour in Sviyazhsk you will see
unique monuments of history: the Cathedral of the
Joy for All Who Grieve, one of the oldest wooden
temples of Russia – the Holy Trinity Church, an
operating Assumption Monastery featuring an
architectural ensemble of the 16-17 centuries, Stable
Yard and other workshops.

chiram is a young spring grass, this word and the

Special Visit to an Ancient
Civilization Town on the
Volga - The Great Bolgar
During this visit, you will see the ancient settlement
with preserved architectural monuments of the 13th-
14th centuries, a complex of mausoleums of the 14th
century, “A commemorative sign commemorating
the adoption of Islam” - a building that houses the
world's most expensive and largest print The Quran
(500 kg), listed in the Guinness Book of Records, as
well as an interactive museum complex.

Virid Yard Restaurant
Virid Yard, which opened in the same house with the
fashionable Volkof59 boutique, visually refers to the
American classics of the 1960s in our understanding:
there are deep muted colors, comfortable
upholstered furniture, and rounded shapes. The
gastronomic component of the place is
Mediterranean cuisine.

"Kazan" Hippodrome
Backstage Special Visit
International Horse-racing complex “Kazan” is one of
the largest in Europe and the only complex of this
level in Russia. In terms of its parameters, it is a
complex multifunctional mechanism with a total area
of 91.1 hectares, which includes various thematic
zones.
The sports and demonstration zone includes a closed
platform for 4 thousand seats, an open platform for 2
thousand people.

OPTIONAL: Car Racing in
Kazan Ring Canyon
KAZAN RING race track is an excellent venue for
conferences, test drives, exhibitions. In the
immediate vicinity of the highway are equipped two
rooms for presentations and seminars. It is possible
to conduct both automobile and motorcycle
competitions.

Lunch in the Pir
Restaurant
"Pir" is a restaurant that is part of the restaurant and
bath complex "Pir and Par", located on the shores of
Lake Nizhny Kaban. Here you can taste a classic mix
of European cuisine, as well as Tatar dishes. One of
the brightest details in the design is the famous
horse-shaped lamp placed at the entrance.

Pashmir restaurant is located in the city center on
the shore of Kazan lake "Kaban" where according to
the legend treasures of one of Kazan khans are
buried. Restaurant provides a spectacular lake view

Tatarstan has a very good alcohol industry and many
interesting taste solutions. The famous Bugulma
balsam, the popular Timerkhan vodka and much

national cuisine, buy Tatar leather shoes, take
pictures in national clothes or take part in a culinary
master class.

A must for foodies, this museum offers its guests a
taste of traditional Tatar food and drink, quite
literally. Sample sweets, cakes and teas, and then
learn how to make chak-chak, honey-baked dough
balls brought out at festivities. Booking is essential.

wood burning stove, which is used to prepare food
