Editor's Notes

• #3 Currently, I am a Deputy Editor for Green Chemistry which is owned and published by the RSC. We also publish journals on behalf of other societies. For example I also work for NJC: New Journal of Chemistry and we publish on behalf of the French research institute: CNRS. PPS: is owned by four different societies: EPA, ESP, AOSP, KSP
• #6 The RSC has 6 main departments: Publishing, Membership, Library, Education, Conferences and Science & Technology: to influence and guide policy through strong Parliamentary links and partnership with the chemical science community. The RSC also seeks to reward those undertaking excellent work in the chemical sciences with its prestigious Prizes and Awards. Any surplus is invested in the advance of chemical sciences.
• #7 Life and journey of a manuscript
• #8 We have an active and growing Books program, currently around 80 per year and increasing The RSC publishes 30 journals and has been publishing journals in some guise since 1841. The entire content until 2010 is available electronically in a journals archive. We also publish databases and magazines such as Chemistry World. All the publishing activities are based at our Cambridge office with a staff of 350 people mostly trained chemists. Also LIC based in London
