- 1969 – Helped to invent and perfect what is known today as colonoscopy to remove polyps (polype) in large intestine without surgery (The first in the world!); today known as the Shinya method and has become widely used in colonoscopies. The Colon polyps develop into colon cancer. Healthy colon = Healthy body 1994 – Became the professor of surgery at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and – the head of the endoscopic center of Beth Israel Hospital. – Became Vice-chairman of Japanese Medical Association in USA. 2005 – Author of the book “The Enzyme Factor”, sold more than 2 million copies in Japan only... where he states succinctly and unequivocally that “None of my patients have to face cancer again.” so long as you or I follow his “enzyme factor diet and lifestyle, you can expect a 0% cancer recurrence rate and the effects this will have on health and longevity”. Present – Dr. Shinya continues to lead a very busy office practice. Claims about Health benefits Shinya is also known for his claims about health benefits of enzyme supplementation. However, some of his claims in commercial advertisements have been criticized as deceptive.[citation needed] Shinya has authored many books, of which the most well-known, Living without Disease: A Miracle Enzyme Determines Life (in Japanese: '病気にならない生き方 ミラクル・エンザイムが寿命を決める'), is said to have sold more than a million copies in Japan. In advertisements, Shinya has recommended taking enzymes from consumed food. There he cites a medical paper that reports a decrease in the secretion quantity of three kinds of digestive enzyme (and bicarbonate) from the pancreas. The article speculates that this is due to aging, and does not discuss intake of nutrients, so it is irrelevant to his claim. He also says that in recent years vegetables are poorer sources of nutrients, and that it is difficult to obtain sufficient enzymes from consumed food alone. His evidence for this is a chart based on references for 1963 and 2008 which shows values of beta-carotene, vitamin C and iron found in spinach and carrot, from which he appears to infer a comparable enzyme deficit in all vegetable food sources. In 2004, an estimated 3.4 million people died from consequences of high blood sugar. The use of drugs (ADR - Adverse Drug Reaction) is the #4 killer in Western nations.

- Otto Heinrich Warburg (/ˈvɑrbʊərɡ/; October 8, 1883 – August 1, 1970), son of physicist Emil Warburg, was a German physiologist, medical doctor and Nobel laureate. He served as an officer in the elite Uhlan (cavalry regiment) during the First World War, and was awarded the Iron Cross (1st Class) for bravery. Warburg is considered one of the 20th century's leading biochemists. He was the sole recipient of the Nobel Prize in Physiology in 1931. In total, he was nominated for the award 47 times over the course of his career. Scientific work and Nobel Prize While working at the Marine Biological Station, Warburg performed research on oxygen consumption in sea urchin eggs after fertilization, and proved that upon fertilization, the rate of respiration increases by as much as six fold. His experiments also proved iron is essential for the development of the larval stage. In 1918, Warburg was appointed professor at the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute for Biology in Berlin-Dahlem (part of the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gesellschaft). By 1931 he was named director of the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute for Cell Physiology, which was founded the previous year by a donation of the Rockefeller Foundation to the Kaiser Wilhelm Gesellschaft (since renamed the Max Planck Society). Warburg investigated the metabolism of tumors and the respiration of cells, particularly cancer cells, and in 1931 was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology for his "discovery of the nature and mode of action of the respiratory enzyme." - Peter Agre /ˈɑːɡriː/ (born January 30, 1949) is an American physician, Bloomberg Distinguished Professor, and molecular biologist at Johns Hopkins University who was awarded the 2003 Nobel Prize in Chemistry (which he shared with Roderick MacKinnon) for his discovery of aquaporins. Aquaporins are water-channel proteins that move water molecules through the cell membrane. In 2009, Agre was elected president of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS).
