Kalray is introducing its new MPPA® processor, which provides powerful and low power parallel processing capabilities. The MPPA®-256 chip uses a 28nm manufacturing process and contains 256 processing engine cores and 32 management cores. It offers high performance with very low power consumption compared to CPUs and GPUs. Kalray provides a software development kit that allows developers to program the MPPA® in C/C++ with future support for dataflow, streaming, and other parallel programming models. Reference boards are available for development and evaluation of applications on the new MPPA® architecture.
