Kadet Remaja Sekolah (KRS) was founded in the 1970s at a school in Kuala Lumpur. It began with 20 students and was originally called Kadet Remaja Islam. In 1995, the name was changed to KRS. The organization aims to develop students' character in accordance with Malaysia's education goals and philosophy. The KRS flag symbolizes youth development and the environment. The logo represents Islam, Malaysia's sovereignty, knowledge, and the education system. KRS members wear dark green uniforms with badges displaying the logo and organization name.
